Born in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 1992, Kuo, Chin-Ping graduated with a master degree of Ink Painting creation from the Department of Fine Arts of National Taiwan Normal University.
KUO uses the form of fables to metaphor the individual's psychological state with animal images, and projects her emotions and thoughts of each stage on the characteristics of different animals. Each content, each specific enlargement and repetition, symbolizes herself with different feelings. Therefore, creation for her is a process of gradually constructing the "ideal self" and realizing her belief in hope.
Using animals as a metaphor for herself is like wearing a mask, however in the age of civilization where humanity is suppressed and freedom is easily deprived, the survival challenges of humans and animals are very similar. The color levels of ink are separated, leaving only pure black, white and gray. The picture looks like printing with copy images. The crowd walks and moves to the uncertain directions, what is hidden in there? For KUO, painting is like revealing the layers of masks, and then she can keep the record of her meaning of existence.
