Tu, Sheng-chun
Born in Keelung in 1988, Taiwan, Tu, Sheng-chun liked painting and had painting training in art classes from an early age. He entered the Department of Painting and Calligraphy at the National Taiwan University of Arts to study from Bachelor to Ph.D. and just graduated this year.

Tu, Sheng-chun’s creation elements has been related to the sea, from the rock on the coast, the driftwood on the coast and now to the island project. "I tried to comb people's perceptions and views of the place, and to integrate into an appearance of the world look through a three-dimensional semi-circle shape. And I named it an “island”. The island is a multi-type field and the painter placed different objects on the island to invite the viewers to re-explore the type and appearance of the island, and discuss the relationship between the objects and the island. The island may be a representation of a small inner universe of an individual, or a brief image of the boundless world..."
