Born in Taichung, Taiwan in 1994, Lee, Yi-ru graduated from the department of creative design of Yunlin Grad School with a master degree. In 2015, she was nominated for the 2nd Taiwan Young Ceramics Biennale, the 2016 Golden Point Rookie Finalist/Craft Design, and the Hsinchu Art Exhibition Award.

LEE considers that the reactive process of human emotions and perception is amazing. Under the stimulation and influence of different levels, states and environments, perceptions continue to ferment and grow, and spread with different longings, just like the growth and diverse gestures of the creatures. How to adjust and find our initial feelings and potential awareness when they’re gone due to the stressful life?

LEE tries to memorize and preserve the emotional state of each stage, and then present its subtle changes through the sculptural creation. The combination of the natural shapes and the child's image is the artist’s projection and hope for the beautiful coexistence.
